What if I’m too old or too young?
Our oldest skater so far is 65 years old and doing jumps with confidence now. Age is just a number, let Diana show you why! Minimum age is 14 to participate.
What if I don’t know how to skate? Or what if I’m not a very good skater?
This is for ALL levels, and we do mean ALL. Diana starts every class with dryland training – no skates at all! The beginners will move slowly, learning with a sneaker on to start, slow and steady. They will benefit from learning power, control, and fabulous technique right off the bat, without developing bad habits. The more advanced skaters will benefit from refining their technique and developing more power. All levels will level up!

Diana is one of the best coaches or trainers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I had only been roller-skating for about 4 months when I joined a group of people and attended her 4-day summer roller-skate training camp. When she first saw me skate, she immediately knew what I was capable of and challenged me to perform maneuvers and skills that I never thought I’d be able to do even if I practiced for years. Her ability to break down a skill and walk me through it step by step had me doing things in the first hour that I never imagined I would be able to do. She would pinpoint precisely what I was doing wrong and how to correct it so I could master the move. I have had many ice skating and hockey coaches and trainers in my life and none of them have ever been able to increase my skill level as much as Diana did in the short period of time we worked together. She has a magical ability to know exactly what I needed to do to accomplish whatever skill we were working on. That, combined with her warmth and gentleness while coaching, and her genuine excitement when I mastered a skill, boosted my confidence in myself not just on roller-skates, but in every aspect of my life. Her camp was the most fun I have had in a very long time and the boost in my skill level was phenomenal. I would sign up to work with her again in a heartbeat.

Diana Sanchez, of Artistic Roller Skating – Toronto, has a unique way of teaching you the steps to a skill that makes you realize you can accomplish something you thought was beyond you. Her break-down/progression teaching method is easy to understand and teaches you the correct form and technique from the start. She’s attentive and insistent, and pushes you to meet your goals with warmth and enthusiasm. I’ve had so many fun and exciting “I did it!!” moments in her class! I 100% recommend her to any skater of any style or experience looking to improve. One workshop with Diana and all that personal attention leveled up my skills faster than a year of training on my own!

Diana welcomes everyone with open arms – literally! I felt like she immediately became invested in my skating journey. After skating with her, my fear of falling diminished. She teaches you how to fall, and teaches skills on sneakers first – then with one skate on, then with the other, so that by the time you get to the hard part, you’ve already practiced all the components! Whenever I did fall, Diana could tell me exactly what happened and how to correct it. I felt her belief in me inspire me to keep trying. Diana helped me to see if I want to, I can! I am 65 years old and I would heartily recommend anyone who wants to improve to join Diana’s workshop!
